Magda and Patryk destination wedding in Poland

Destination wedding photographer

I just love shooting destination weddings! So when my cousin Patryk asked me to be his destination wedding photographer in Poland, I knew I had to be there. Patryk has been my best friend since childhood and we used to hang out a lot as kids, climbing trees and later experiencing our first drinks and parties. It has made me so happy now to see him fulfilled and so in love with his beautiful other half Magda. They seriously couldn’t be a better match for each other!

Unfortunately, I had a wedding already booked the next day in the UK so… Quick check: yes! There was an evening flight so I could stay at the wedding until late afternoon, regrettably not attending the evening celebrations (one of which being drinking copious amounts of vodka!).  As I arrived a day earlier, we managed to spend the preparation day before with Patryk and Magda, which was great. And we even managed to squeeze in a cheeky couple shoot in the field and at the venue, which was absolutely amazing mill from ‘before the war’ times, with many of its original features still intact.

The wedding itself was just so emotional. Just seeing my family, parents, sister from near and far getting together was so special! And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a proper church mass, throwing coins on the floor ( a polish version of confetti:) for the newlyweds to pick up (all of them!) and father of the bride greeting the couple with bread, salt and of course… two shots of vodka! And finally, as a guest, I could throw in a selfie of myself with the couple!

Thank you guys for letting me be your destination wedding photographer, it was absolutely amazing! Kocham Was!!x
