Anna and Matt wedding at Dunchurch Park Hotel in Warwickshire

Warwickshire wedding photographer

Anna and Matt’s gorgeous wedding took place in Dunchurch Park Hotel, a stunning 17th century manor house in the heart of Warwickshire surrounded by acres of landscaped gardens.

Things were a bit closer to my heart this time as Anna is Swedish as well as big part of the wedding guests and her family. Which is the same as my fiance and our baby daughter. This gave me a great chance to practice my Swedish. However, after a few semi successful attempts at charming Swedish guests with my language skills I decided to stick back to English. Fortunately all Swedes are fluent in it :)

The day started with Anna’s preparations at local spa while Matt and his groomsmen were greeting the guests in a bar just on the other side of the hotel.

After the ceremony, outdoor drinks reception and few formal shots the celebrations continued at a marquee just on the side of the main building.

A pleasant surprise was meeting Tanya and Tom, lovely couple whose wedding I shot last year and their super cute baby daughter!

Just before the meal Anna’s little cousin performed a song in Swedish for the couple with uncle accompanying on the guitar. What a beautiful voice and touching moment it was!

Delicious food was followed by good number of speeches, which is more typical at Swedish weddings where many guests say a few words to the bride and groom. Most impressive was probably Matt’s, as he made it in Swedish delighting his bride and guests.

A touch of afternoon rain refreshed the atmosphere and helped to create mood for a few photographs, with the couple and kids blowing bubbles being one of my favourites.

A fun addition was Swedish wedding shoe game played by bride and groom and a surprise ‘down the memory lane’ slideshow prepared for Anna by her bridesmaids.

The wedding itself was simply beautiful from start to finish, filled with so much love and emotion from the couple, both families and all the guests.

Thank you Anna and Matt, x
